Honeycomb (HMP) & Insulated (IMP) Metal Panels Systems

Protean’s Honeycomb (HMP) & Insulated (IMP) Metal Panels Systems Create Crisp Aesthetic Perfect for Large Scale Projects with Long Smooth Expanses

Imagine the possibilities of an HMP system that offers large ‘dead flat’ expanses combined with superior strength and rigidity that can be configured to your design needs. Add in durability and sustainability, and you have a solution for large scale projects that include education, government and civic buildings at a lower cost than aluminum plate and at a competitive price with aluminum composite (ACM).

These wall panels, available in rainscreen style and barrier wall systems, are fabricated in aluminum honeycomb and insulated foam core. All of our standard products come with a Twenty Year Finish & Five Year Workmanship & Durability Guarantee.

Aluminum HMP wall panels are among the most economical for projects needing long, smooth expanses. The honeycomb construction creates high strength and increased wind load resistance in a low weight package. Requiring limited to no supporting infrastructure, the panels can reduce installation costs and are significantly lighter than aluminum plate or ACM panels.

IMP wall panels provide all the benefits of honeycomb panels along with the added value of noise abatement and high R-value performance for increased energy efficiency. With attachment tabs removed, the FM-100 panel can be used in curtain walls in lieu of glass, as typical foam-in-place panels are not appropriate for glazed-in applications.

Protean’s laminated wall panels achieved the elegant lines, long smooth expanses and crisp aesthetic required for Boston’s Logan International Gateway Terminal.

Rainscreen Style HMP and IMP Wall Panels Offer Crisp Aesthetic
and Sharp Reveals

Rainscreen style HMP and IMP wall panels have the aesthetic benefits of a rainscreen along with the ability to serve as a barrier system. Without exposed sealants or fasteners, a rainscreen style system offers crisp edges with sharp reveals in the same color as the panel face. The 200 series can serve as a barrier system stand alone, avoiding the expense of a barrier system in the wall substructure. The 200 series can also be installed horizontally or vertically using concealed fasteners.
