Protean’s AP-2125 Aluminum Plate Panel System is designed to be free-floating through the use of stainless steel alignment pins and the aluminum panel attachment through the slotted side joint extended attachment leg. All metal wall panel corners are welded and ground smooth. Utilizing Protean’s standard installation details the AP-2125 Series Metal Wall Panels are sequentially installed to the structure with mechanical fasteners. The aluminum panel joints are ½” minimum joint sealed with backer rod and sealant compatible to the panel finish to provide a weather tight system. Aluminum Wall Panels are reinforced with stiffeners as required by design loads to meet deflection criteria as well as eliminating the possibility of “oil canning”. The aluminum wall panels can be custom painted to match or contrast other material on the project if required.
