HC-2000RS AAMA 508-certified Honeycomb Rainscreen System

The AAMA 508-certified HC-2000RS provides an unequalled combination of rain control and negative wind-load control with variable face materials and panel sizes for design flexibility. Based on these performance and design criteria, the HC-2000RS was specified as the Basis of Design for the terminal expansion at Redmond Municipal Airport in Deschutes County, Oregon.
The HC-2000RS system’s design flexibility supports the project’s vision for a contemporary terminal that reflects its Central Oregon setting. Metal panels in warm, natural tones help the building blend beautifully with the surrounding Cascade Mountain landscape.
Like Protean’s other HMPs, the HC-2000RS offers crisp edges with sharp reveals in the same color as the panel face, without sacrificing flatness or panel edge strength. The panels do not oil can or show distortion and stiffener read-through that is seen in other plate and ACM panel systems. This results in extreme flatness, which is particularly important for projects designed with mirror and prismatic finishes.
